The Card Theory
Terms of participation
How breaks work
Breaks are listed in advance with fixed-price teams or spots. A selection starts a temporary 10-minute hold; it is not a completed purchase until Stripe confirms payment and the spot is marked sold. Breaks do not use auctions or bidding.
What you receive
For a pick-your-team break, the buyer receives the cards pulled for the team named on the paid spot, subject to the product checklist and any multi-team or combination-card rule stated on the break page. For a random break, assignments are generated and displayed before the product is opened.
Livestreams and results
Filled breaks are intended to be livestreamed on this website and may also be recorded. Stream interruptions do not change the cards pulled or the paid roster. The host's on-stream identification of team/card ownership is reviewed against the product checklist before shipping if a dispute is raised promptly.
Pricing — shipping included
Every spot price includes shipping. There are no separate shipping charges or shipping add-ons at checkout: the price shown for a spot is the price you pay for that spot, delivered.
All sales final — no refunds, no chargebacks
All spot sales are final under our no-refund policy, and chargebacks are not an accepted method of dispute. The full policy — including the sole exception for a break we cancel and never run, and our right to pursue recovery on fraudulent chargebacks — is published on the no-refund policy page and applies to every purchase.
Shipping
Buyers must provide an accurate shipping address at checkout. Cards are packaged and mailed after the break. The Card Theory is not responsible for delays or loss caused by an incorrect address supplied at checkout or by a carrier after acceptance, but we will help investigate a missing shipment when contacted.
Conduct
Abusive, fraudulent, or disruptive conduct in chat or during a break may result in removal from chat, cancelled unpaid holds, and refusal of future participation. Paid spots are final sales under the no-refund policy.
Changes
Break schedules may change because a break does not fill, product delivery is delayed, or a technical issue prevents a fair livestream. Material changes to a paid break will be communicated to buyers using the email provided at checkout.
